Part 2: The Mouse on the Mile-Chapters 4-6

The day before an execution, Paul and his crew went through the steps and motions until they perfected it. Old Toot, the old man who runs the meatwagon, helped out the men for the practice rounds the day before Arlen Bitterbuck was scheduled for execution. They had a little unexpected visitor also, Mr. Jingles. Paul goes on to talk about how important both the mouse and Coffey will end up being. He explains how even though Coffey is a huge guy, he's scared of the dark and almost everynight weeps. That's the strange thing about Coffey, he seems like such a great guy to do a thing like he did. He also talks about how his urinary infection is still terribly painful.
