Part 1: The Two Dead Girls-Chapters 7-8

Delacroix's mouse was the entertainment. The mouse became known as "Steamboat Willy." He would go up and down E block looking in and out of the cells as if he worked there. He would eat food that the men fed him so fascinatingly. Steamboat Willy later became known as "Mr. Jingles." Whenever Percy was around, he would chase down the mouse and of course, Mr. Jingles would escape. Paul and Brutal went to the restraint room, the place where they believed the mouse stayed, and searched around and up in the ceiling they found Mr. Jingles' home. Also, they found colored splintered remains of a spool. The men believed he kept it to remember Delacroix and discovered that the mouse was miraculously smart. That same night, Paul and Brutal both decided that they couldn't do this job and they couldn't stand to see one more man suffer in that chair. John Coffey would be Paul's last.
